Nominating who takes over your workspace

How to record who your firm wants to take over the workspace, and what happens if that person leaves.

What a nomination is

An Admin can name a colleague as the person the workspace would want to take it over. It’s recorded in workspace settings for everyone to see — a statement of intent, not a transfer of control. Nothing about billing or access changes just because someone is nominated.

Who can set it

Only an Admin can nominate someone, or clear a nomination already made. Every member can see who’s nominated, read-only.

Who you can nominate

You can only nominate someone who’s already a member of the workspace at the moment you nominate them.

If the nominee leaves

findproperly doesn’t quietly pick a new nominee, or clear the old one, if the person nominated later leaves the workspace. Instead, workspace settings says plainly that the person nominated is no longer a member — so an Admin knows to nominate someone else, rather than the workspace believing it has succession sorted when it doesn’t.

Next: go to findproperly.co.za/settings/org to see or set who’s nominated.
